The Swallows in Capistrano and the Red Winged Blackbirds in the Backyard
Sorry the quality of these shots are not the best but if you click on the pictures you'll get a better view. These are the red winged Blackbirds landing in the trees in the evening. This goes on around the church and house evey spring for about a week. The noise they make is incredible. Last year Emma and I sat out back and watched them as they gathered. They come in groups of three or so. When it is just about dark they take off towards the east. It is a sight to behold!
