Right In Your Own Backyard

Last evening we had the most beautiful rainbow following a thunderstorm.

Then after the rain the birds began to sing and this little guy came hopping across the path. When you have gardens and natural surroundings in it for local wildlife, you don't need to fimd them, they will find you! The great variety of birds, the shrews, toads and even the lady bugs all come for the things that are back there. The only thing I have ever stocked is the pond with fish. However we are going to be part of repopulating the Island with salamanders. Other than that everyone else is uninvited guests but very welcomed!
