Early Morning Mist

I went out this morning around 6am. It was dark. There was a mist falling here on Long Island's South Shore. The thought struck me, "This is good." In Genesis 1.31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

The creation is very good. I don't have to water today. The LORD is doing that for me right now. His faithfulness is great.

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Great is Thy faithfulness!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
