As I was having my quiet time outside this morning, I was watching the birds come to the feeders. All of a sudden birds started darting in all directions. One sparrow did like a crash landing into the Asiatic Day Flowers and was out of sight. Then the yard was empty and quiet. As I sat for a few moments wondering if it was the approaching storm that caused this, a Cooper's Hawk came out of my maple tree and flew overto the neighbor's. Several minutes later the sparrow emerged from its shelter.
