The Fragrance of Spring

The sweet odor of lilacs are filling the whole backyard. What a pleasant perfume they put out. There are a few things blooming like the azalea. They are beautiful to the eye. The lilacs are not only pretty to see but they are wonderful to smell.
One day the odors may be transmitted over the fiber optic network. Maybe it will be called fiber odor or fiber olfactory then. Right now you'll just have to take my word for it or better yet stop by! The tours have begun already! Spring is here and God is displaying His Glorious Handiwork out in my backyard!

Good and Beautiful Things Are on the Way!

My friend, Rudy Migliore, the head of a law firm here on Long Island, are in our 10th year of praying together at lunchtime each week. Yesterday we met and discussed this subject. In fact I had been drawn to the scripture in Isaiah 64.4 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear perceived, no eye has seen any God besides You, Who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him."

Another friend, Tom Barnard, who sends out a weekly e-mail of encourgement, including this matter of waiting in his "Tuesday Mornings" today.

Let me get botanical for a moment you knew this was coming). All over the backyard are daylilies. Some are older, some are just seedlings from last years hybridizing. Some will bloom for the first time on the planet this summer. To observe these wonders requires waiting (and a labor of love).

If there are things you are laboring with today and you love them. WAIT! There is going to be good and beauty before too long. One day it all the labor and love comes back to you. Hang in there. The blooms are just beginning!
