Morning Musings

One of my favorite very early morning activities is to get my coffee and fill the bird feeders and walk around the yard slowly and watch the sun rise. This morning I noticed a Robin, not where I usually see them hunting for worms in the garden but picking through some dead leaves and stuffing them in her mouth.

I kept an eye on her and she flew up into a Maple tree on the border of the yard. There about 20 feet up is a nest she has been working on. Another family of birds! So cool to watch.

We now have a few bunnies, a family of geese with 4 goslings, toads and numerous birds, all kinds of butterflies which freequent the premises. We are now waiting for the box turtle which shows up once in a while. I like to think the work done in my backyard over the years has made it critter friendly.
