Its That Time Of Year

No, I am not speaking of Christmas just yet... I am talking about mid autumn. Leaves are finishing falling, blooms are over and the winter's sleep is on the horizon.

The big project for my backyard at this time of the year is always mulching leaves and bringing them into the beds. They decompose over the winter and in the spring we have beautiful humus soil.

Snow will provide a nice blanket soon. The deep freeze will take place and before we know it the first crocus will be sprouting.
