Braeburn Apple Trees

This evening I planted 2 apple trees. In the fall of 2010 I had an absolutely delicious Braeburn Apple. I dried out the seeds and planted them. They grew. I nurtured them with great care.

Today I dug the holes and planted these little trees in the ground. My hope is that my three grandsons will be picking them in the years to come.

Fall is here!

My sign is up outside, "Welcome Fall!"

I have enjoyed the summer and it's activities, but fall is my time of the year! I really feel bad for those living in parts of our country where it can not be enjoyed like the northeast. People come from those parts to see the colors of it here.

But Autumn is more than colors. It is tastes and moderate temperatures. The low 70's in the day and high 50's at night with low humidity is wonderful for this guy who doesn't do well in the heat.

It is a time for mulching leaves for next year's garden while still enjoying the produce from this years. For the very amateur day lily hybridizer it is time to collect those seed pods that resulted in crosses made this July with my granddaughter, Emma.

The fall brings back those wonder year moments of the 1970's for me, those times of running Cross Country for Mepham High School.

The fall ushers in the most wonderful holidays, holy days, of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The more I think about it the less I miss summer! Embrace the Fall!

Time

When did time begin? Einstein thought a lot about time. James Taylor even incorporated that in one of his songs.
